Wash the beret as little as possible. If there are no stains just air it out.
Soak the beret in lukewarm or cool water with a little bit of fabric softener, do not rub or squish the knit. Let it soak properly. After taking it out, remove excess water by folding it in half, then lay it on a towel and gently roll everything together. Dry stretched on a flat plate with a diameter of about 28 cm, so the beret will keep it's form and serve you for a very long time.
