Wash your scarf as seldom as possible. If there are no stains simply air it out.
Soak the cap in lukewarm or cool water with a little fabric softener, do not rub or knead the knit. Allow it to soak properly. Remove excess water by folding it in half when removed, then lay it on a towel and roll it all together gently. Dry laid flat, this way the scarf will keep its shape and serve you for a very long time.
